Sometimes you just can't stay away.
A little under five months since winning the 2005 National Championship with the North Carolina Tar Heels, Bobcats rookies Raymond Felton and Sean May will be taking to the court at the Smith Center in Chapel Hill on August 27 for the fourth-annual World's Greatest Alumni Game.
The fifth (Felton) and 13th (May) overall selections of the 2005 NBA Draft will be part of the CarolinaPros All-Stars squad that will take on the ACC Pros All-Stars on at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2005 in their old stomping grounds.
The game will be hosted by North Carolina alumns Jerry Stackhouse (Dallas Mavericks) and Antawn Jamison (Washington Wizards), with proceeds going to the American Diabetes Foundation.
Past participants have included current and former NBA players such as Stackhouse, Jamison, Rasheed Wallace (Detroit Pistons) Vince Carter (New Jersey Nets), George Lynch (New Orleans Hornets) and Brendan Haywood (Washington Wizards). Some members of this year's ACC Pros All-Stars include Josh Howard (Dallas Mavericks/Wake Forest), Chris Paul (New Orleans Hornest/Wake Forest), Daniel Ewing (Los Angeles Clippers/Duke) and Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic).
CarolinaPros, Inc. has a weekend of activity planned, starting on Friday, August 26 with a bowling tournament and a Las Vegas style casino night. Saturday, August 27 will be action packed as well, with Feed the Children, the Fan Appreciation Extravaganza, the World's Greatest Alumni Game and the Official CarolinaPros After Party all taking place. The weeked will wrap up on Sunday, August 28 with a morning worship service.

JR Smith, drafted from high school and with the New Orleans Hornets, will also participate. JR joins George Lynch and Chris Paul as members of the Hornets team, and this will be his first appearance in the WGAG!
